South Newport Baptist Church

Missions

These are a few of the ongoing mission projects we are currently a part of. However, we are a church working for the Kingdom! Many projects happen sporadically throughout the year, including wheelchair ramp construction, roofing, Shelby, NC Mission Camp, Vacation Bible School, and SNBC Lighthouse (free clothes closet open the first Saturday every month from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M.).

We also have several long-term and ongoing mission projects below.

Golden Isles Veterans’ Village- South Newport Baptist Church is honored to partner with the Golden Isles Veterans’ Village, the Nine Line Foundation, Rotary International, and a host of others to complete a tiny home village for homeless veterans in Glynn County, GA. This is a one-of-a-kind partnership for SNBC but also for those we are partnering with. Not only are we constructing all of the tiny homes and community center, but we are also investing long-term in providing spiritual support to the residents (3-year program), including Bible study, a listening ear, prayer, etc.

If you are interested in coming by and serving, please email us below with the dates and times you wish to serve.

Green Turtle Cay, Bahamas- South Newport Baptist Church, and a host of other churches have been working on the island following devastating hurricanes. These partnerships of churches and organizations have provided mattresses for the residents of the island, Christmas presents for the children, and an ongoing effort to build a church on the island (materials are en route as of Novemeber 2021)
